Vintage 2023

A little bit too much rain through February means it would be hard to describe 2023 as the perfect vintage, but we were lucky that we had very little disease pressure.  A bit of botrytis through the Pinot Gris means flavours were intensified (and making a stunning Grand Reserve Pinot Gris).  And our Syrah didn't ripen after some cool mornings in late April shut the vines down.  Next year.... 

Luckily lots of autumn sunshine meant some awesome grapes came into the winery and some delicious wines are emerging.  We started bottling in June locking in some of that winter chill into the Sauvingon Blancs.
