Our Vineyard
Our vineyard is situated on the floor of the Waipara Valley, where the soil is stony and free draining. The region is characterised by long, dry summers and warm autumns. We get around 600mm rainfall per annum, most of it in the winter and spring. The vineyard is made up of mostly Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris and smaller amounts of Chardonnay, Riesling and our reds.

Sauvignon Blanc
Sauvignon Blanc makes up over half over the vineyard. Its planted right beside the winery and the first time the grapes leave the vineyard is in a bottle - where it is sent all over the world!

Aromatics & Chardonnay
We grow Riesling and Chardonnay in small quantities, but are favourite aromatic is Pinot Gris. Particularly well suited to this site, in 2022 we planted 4 more hectares. You can read about the planting here >

Reds
We grow Tempranillo and Syrah just for our Rose - and of course Pinot Noir is combined to make for a delicious Rose.
