A long dry summer followed by a cool autumn produced this delicious Chardonnay - our first ever!
Aroma and taste

4 stars Raymond Chan
The vines are from three different clones, all selected for their premium wine producing qualities: clones 548,809 and 1066. Grown on free draining stoney soils. The cropload was light for this first vintage.
Fruit was pressed straight to oak barrels (30% new) where it spent 18 motnhs. No malolactic fermentation has resulted in a crisp, refreshing style. Just 83 doz. cases were made.
Food and wine matching
The depth of flavour make it a very versatile wine to enjoy with just about any food. It's ideal with roasted white meats such as chicken or turkey, and the citrus flavours mean it would suit seafood.
