This lovely aromatic grape produces wines that range from full-bodied and spicey through to lighter and fruitier styles. In 2009 the hot summer resulted in a fuller style and a wine that is a great match for heavier spicey foods. In 2011 we cropped slightly earlier to produce a wine that is slightly less full-bodied, but not short on flavour. Pinot Gris is becoming increasingly popular and the 2011 vintage in Waipara Valley has produced some outstanding wines.
This full-bodied wine has ripe pear and lemon flavours with subtle quince and spice notes.
This is wonderfully flavoured, capturing the minerality of the gravel soils. It was lightly cropped and full ripened to produce a full bodied wine with floral and spice aromas.
